About us
“Midori” means “Green” or “Greenery” in Japanese. “Permatech” is an amalgamation of 2 words; “permaculture” and “technology”, as such, we offer Permaculture inspired products and services, technologies and solutions, but what is “Permaculture”?
Permaculture is a branch of ecological design and engineering which develops sustainable systems modeled from natural ecosystems. It is a holistic, practical and effective way to designing with natural patterns and principles for increasing sustainability and quality of life.
Permaculture helps us to understand and create harmonious integration of people and place. It is applicable to both urban and rural contexts, and to any scale of design or system. It is about working with, rather than against, nature. Permaculture is primarily considered to be a sustainable food production system; however its design principles can be applied to many different systems, even product and business development.
Our products and services are available to organizations, community groups, businesses, families and individuals. Grounded in the ethics and principles of permaculture, we aim to foster deep interconnections between people and place, and to support the creation of landscapes and systems that are resilient, productive and beautiful. This may range in scale from individual urban lots to small farms, or urban public spaces, subdivisions, and parks. The design process is as much about you as it is about the land and area we work with.
We believe that any landscape should be an extension of your Home and/or Business and must evoke positive emotions. Following permaculture ethics and design principals, we can help you see the potential in your garden, yard, home, or even your break room and workspace, and together develop an elegant plan for turning it into a more productive and even edible ecosystem; one that will save you time, money and resources, while producing a surplus or bounty of organic food to enjoy, as well as a much healthier lifestyle.
